The congregation was busy this advent season with the arrival of baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, angels, wise men and shepherds. The sanctuary was beautifully decorated by Angie & Jack Wilson and had the addition of a Christmas tree this year decorated with Chrismon ornaments, provided by Linda Nimmo. The choir had a great time with the toe tapping “Take Your Shoes Off Moses” this past Sunday. On the bongos was Steve Hines and on guitar, Wyatt Creech. Linda Nimmo led the choir, accompanied by Rebecca Hall on piano. We’re not sure who enjoyed it the most, the choir, the musicians or the congregation.

It has become a tradition at Airy Grove that the ladies conduct the service on Laity Sunday. This year our guest speaker was Lillie Woodard.
At our recent homecoming, Airygrove was entertained during the worship hour by Twisted Knot Band, followed by a covered dish luncheon. We had a great turn out with lots of great food and good fellowship with family and friends.
